Green Leopard

I entered this design in the Adventures in Stamping group Sunday Challenge on FB. This week was your favorite new stamp. I've been wanting to try this LV inspired look ever since I placed my order with Fab Ur Nails, weeks ago.  I used Jordana Brown, stamped with China Glaze Passion, and topped it with Essie Matte about you.  I used OB39 plate for the LV design and Mash plate 38 for the accent nail.

My LV mani above lasted a whole 24 hours before it was ruined when I took off my daughter's polish for the first day of school.  :(
I saw this design on Instagram and had to give it a try - No stamping involved, but it was pretty quick and easy.  I used China Glaze Gaga for Green, and Essie Sand Tropez.  Wet n Wild Black Creme to finish off the leopard spots, and topped with Seche Vite.

Oh, it's been so long since I posted.  Well Glossy Box has replied to my numerous attempts to let them know about my disappointing June Box.  They are going to send out a replacement Ahava Wash, and a new box.  I was told this on 7-6-12 and I haven't seen anything yet, I'll give em another week..

So I am going to post my last few manicures since my 4th of July nails.  I've also received some awesome nailmail too. So excited to try all this stuff out :)

Here I used some microbeads from Michael's craft store over BundleMonster plate 310

No Stamping here, just wanted a quick and clean (boring :) mani.

I love this look with BM plate 322 - I will definitely be doing this again.

This is my FabUrNails order from Manila - loads of fun images here

I received my awesome July MyGlam bag - I love everything in it this month, including the bag!

Here's a neon gradient base with Bundle Monster plate 320 - I really like how this turned out also, and a top coat of Jordana Crystal Glitter puts it all together :)

I was on a gradient kick - here's a orange-yellow gradient base with Mash plate #40 and a blue rhinestone.

This order came pretty quick all the way from Hong Kong - I ordered these items from the Born Pretty Store. They usually get to me in AZ in about 2 and a half weeks, and they always have Free Shipping too!

Whew, there's a few cards I made and some DIY bracelets too.  I shall post them next time.
Have a great night - thanks for reading :)

4th of July Manicure

I've been trying to decide what I wanted to do for a 4th of July look and ended up casing Nailside's 4th of July mani from her blog post last year which can be found here. Hers are PERFECT, and I just couldn't get that explosion part quite right with the scotch tape, so I just "freehanded that" (as you can see, it's not perfect, lol)  I will be needing some practice....big time!

Ahhh....I want to just play with my nail plates all day!!!

Happy 4th of July!!

Hello! I haven't posted anything in awhile, but I have a couple manicures to share.

I wanted to try out my new Essie Matte About You.  It dries really fast, and it's a thicker consistency than I expected, but the results are a nice matte look.

I ordered Konad plate 59 for the bows which I looove.  I stamped the image in Konad Black over a neon pink polish.

My swatch wheels.  I need to organize this a little better when I can get some extra time :)

This is my first attempt at a cloud mani.  And the first time using these new polishes from Wet n Wild, the pics are all showing one coat of each color, and the brush is awesome and wide!!

And finally, I received my Mash Plates -2nd collection yesterday and couldn't wait to try this mani that I flagged to try from soguesswhat11's youtube channel.  I love these flames. It reminds me of "Ghost Rider"!!

Thanks for checkin in. I'm hoping to get a 4th of July mani in before the 4th. hahaha :)

The past few days...

Peacock manicure inspired by Heartnat's 31 day challenge for Day 13: Animal Print nails.

I placed an order with the Born Pretty Store on June 1st.  I didn't order too many items for my first order with them, I wanted to check out the shipping time since the items were coming all the way from Hong Kong. I received the order on the 13th, which was just under 2 weeks, so not bad.  I will order from them again. Here's one of the items I picked up, I also got some gold square nail studs, black and silver striping tape, and 2 Hello Kitty no lens glasses.

I was at a Sephora yesterday, I just love their display of Nail Polishes, they have all you could ever want :)

I also picked up some Lemony Flutter at the Lush Store. Thissssss, is AMAYZING!!

I made a quick stop at Sally's to check out what was on sale, I just picked up some Finger Paints nail art polishes, mainly to use for stamping, I was looking for a really opaque yellow, I think this one will work.

I've seen Candy Shop  from Claire's quite a bit on some nail art blogs, and it's really a cute color with some fun glitters mixed in.  I will have to try this one out soon.

Today is actually the 3rd day of my Peacock mani and the tips have faded a lil bit. I didn't have time to do a full manicure, so I just taped off the tips and added a little frenchie with the same China Glaze gold I used for the stamping.

Have a great evening!

Time to make some cards

So I needed to make a Thank You card for a Birthday gift my daughter received the other day.  I also made a Father's day card for my mom to give to mail to my brother.  I will be making another set of Birthday and Father's day cards, cause this year, Father's Day and my DD's birthday land on the same day!

I have been making this style of card lately, which is great for quick layouts, but I really need to get back to creating some different designs, I'd like to get back to coloring with my Copic markers again :)

I was inspired by this card from Splitcoaststampers for this quick design, I really like how it turned out.

I really must fix the lighting in this room - urgh

Have a great Day :)

June Birchbox

I received my June Birchbox today. They had 26 boxes this month and mine was #16. Here's a pic of the items, I think I will use most of it. Overall, I'm liking Birchbox so far.

And here, I'm modeling one of the fashionable band-aids from the Cynthia Rowley edition...hehehe

Silver Glitter

I wanted to do something pretty simple and clean today, so I went to Pinterest for some inspiration.  I saw a pin that lead to this design from Gems in a Bottle blog.  I used Wet N Wild Megalast in Sugar Coat, and for the glitter tips, I used Jordana Silver Jewel, I was going for a slight gradient with the glitter rather than french tips, but I like the overall look.

Salon Effects Find

Just had to post this find at my local Tarjay this morning.
I have never seen these on clearance, anywhere.  There were only these 2 designs in the clearance bin, but what a steal!!

Can you believe this price?

Konad M57 - Leopard and Albertsons

I finally got around to using my leopard design from Konad M57.
I was looking for the right shade of brown for the spots and I think this shade from Jordana called...Brown....fits perfectly :)

I also took some pics from my last visit to Albertsons. In case you never knew it, Albertsons has a vast array of drugstore brand cosmetics, even NYX, which I have never found at Walgreens, CVS, Target or Walmart.
Below are just some of the Sinful Colors brand polishes, and also a brand called Heaven Nail Laquer.  I picked up 2 bottles, one, a white cream named "Tropical Breeze" and the other was a micro glitter raspberry shade called "Waikiki Sunset". Both are very pigmented, and the white cream is very opaque which will make for an excellent stamping polish.

Sinful Colors display, the bottom 4 rows are Heaven Nail Laquer

A lil bit closer shot of the Heaven display - check out the shelf where peeps decided to test out some of the shades, lol.

Here are the 2 I picked up

They were on sale at the time for I think $1.79 per bottle, the regular price is $2.49, so not bad.  I"ll be watching out for more sales and shades on my next visit.

Revlon Whimsical

My Seche Vite top coat is starting to noticeably show shrinkage every time I use it now.  Especially over the Zoya polish, which I've read that will happen with Seche is applied over a 3 Free polish.
I couldn't look at that another day. Besides, I wanted to try out the Whimsical polish I picked up at Ulta over a week ago. It's been calling my name ever since I brought it home.  I've been looking for a perfect sky blue creme polish to use as a base, but I haven't purchased one yet.  I may have found it though, in my current Avon brochure. This is Avon's Vintage Blue, and this month's catalog is having  nice polish sale for all their Nailwear Pro polishes.

Avon Nailwear Pro Nail Enamel - Vintage Blue 0.4 fl. oz.

For now, I layered 2 coats of Whimsical over a random frosty sky blue polish that I picked up from Ross. It came in a set of 5.

Here's the final look. I'm not sure I'm diggin it yet.  It may grow on me in the next day or so. We'll see.

Here's Whimsical in the bottle - she looks so pretty :)
